Cinco De Mayo
2020 has been nothing short of CRAZY! Cinco de Mayo falling on Taco Tuesday and Takeout Tuesday is just the little ray of sunshine we needed! We can't think of anything better than MARGARITAS to go right now! Drink as many as you want then wander down the hall to bed, no designated driver needed. Here are some takeout specials from local restaurants to help you celebrate in style, at home!
-Urban Margarita: $2 tacos and $5 house margaritas to go. Or, do a Cinco de Mayo party pack comprised of a build-your-own taco kit that serves 6 ($24) and a pitcher of margs ($20). Deals are served 4-8 p.m. We highly recommend the carne asada tacos and watermelon margaritas!
-Revolu: Pick up a "Cinco Sweet Pack" including a pinata, pinata stick, pinata candy, churros, &
pitcher of horchata for $54.99 or a "Mexican Beer Package" including guacamole, chips, salsa, and a beer bucket $34.99. Get a FREE growler with the purchase of a 64oz. Baja Brewing Co. Fill for $30. Cinco swag bags and more!
-Lakeside Bar & Grill: Choose from rolled chicken tacos (4 for $9.99) with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa verde, or homemade tamales with rice and beans ($11.99), or carnitas and ground beef tacos ($3 each), or a family pack that includes a pound of meat, 12 tortillas and all the trimmings ($25.99). Add rice and beans for $5, margaritas for $6-$25, and Mexican beers for $3-$20.
-Haymaker: Margarita Bundle including 1L bottle of tequila, 32 oz Haymaker house sour,
and 2 limes for $35. They also have great family meals to go!
-Peoria Artisan Brewery: They are the only local Upper West Side restaurant to participate in the virtual Cinco de Carreño party hosted by artisan mezcal producer, Carreño! Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with their Lotería de Mezcal. To participate, order full bottles of Mezcal Carreño spirits, cocktails or four-ounce mezcal shots as well as food to-go to obtain the Zoom meeting login and other details. The event takes place 6-8 p.m. via Zoom and includes live music, lotería game, stories from hospitality industry including bartenders and chefs, plus a few surprises.
-Macayo's: Two crispy tacos for $5, margaritas to go ($8-$30), or a Patron Margarita kit ($55.55) that includes a bottle of Macayo’s Patron Reposado, sweet and sour mix, limes and salt.
-V's Taproom: This week's specials are Chicken Green Chile Tacos and Prickly Pear Margaritas! They also have Prime Rib and a special Mother's Day Menu.
-Cactus Taproom: Enjoy 20% off growlers all day or pick up some Mexican beer from their expanded selection of canned and bottled beer.
-Mi Familia: Cadillac Margarita Kit ($25) and Family Taco Platters to go
-Caramba: their famous margaritas are bottled and ready to go! These really pack a punch.
-Mochilero Kitchen: This brand new restaurant is celebrating their first Cinco de Mayo and has Family Meals and cocktails to go!
